Expressions from an inner city sanctuary, Melbourne, Australia.
Those that live here really love the city. Those around the world vote it one of the most liveable cities in the world.
I have lived here most of adult life. While coming and going at times as I move through new life chapter, I always come back.
It's the ability to be autonomous amongst a population of over 5 million people.
It's the vibe...very friendly, relaxed, hospitable, creative, and as culturally diverse as imaginable. Business, sport, education, religion, science, arts, public transport and the natural environment is all abundantly visible everywhere in all shapes and forms.
Living in Melbourne is like peeling the layers of an onion, with all the feels. Because it's not a matter of visiting Melbourne for a few days or a week and having experienced some of the greatest things in the world, it's not like that. It's about spending time here and slowly discovering a joyful richness with anything you could need or want at hand. Like being in a democratic utopian scene, set in an oceanic temperate climate, with all the good and the bad that arises out of city life. A grungy beauty with a unique freedom of experience in the world bejewelled with much joy.
This is the first time in my life I have published anything. Blogging to the world, beyond the pages of private journals, takes courage and a bold sense of adventure. I write as the heart resonance sincerely inspires it, with no expectation of anything in return. A simple prayer. May our heart inspirations expressed resonate ripples of happiness for us all.
Thank-you to @Herman https://herman.bearblog.dev for creating such a beautifully simple and safe space. Your wholeheartedness shines through in what you are creating here in the world, which is why I am here too.
Sincerely,
Mel Bournette
